"She Is Not Here" Wins Best Short Film at Italy’s Terni Film Festival

Iranian short film "She Is Not Here," directed by Saeed Siry, has won Best Short Film at the 21st Terni Film Festival in Italy.

The 21st edition of the Terni Film Festival, held from November 8–16, emphasized themes of peace, international cooperation, migration, technology, and social justice. The festival screened films across multiple categories, including feature-length, documentary, short, animated, AI-produced, and virtual reality.

She Is Not Here stars Sara Miley and Alireza Gilvari and runs for 14 minutes. The film tells the story of Kiana, a 9-year-old girl who suffers a deep psychological trauma and suddenly discovers that her sketchbook possesses a magical power capable of altering her surroundings.

Previously, the film won Best Directing at the 15th Peigen International Film Festival in Iceland and was recognized as the most impactful and influential film at Canada’s Hecare Film Festival.
