Argentina Award for Tell the Wind Too

The feature film Tell the Wind Too, written and directed by Sina Khani, has won the Best Experimental Feature Award at Argentina’s Short Long World Film Festival. In its latest international appearance, the film has been selected for the 8th Madrid Indie Film Festival (MADRIFF).

According to the Cinema Museum of Iran’s news service, the Madrid Indie Film Festival provides a platform for independent filmmakers and shares the mission of its affiliated festivals: supporting emerging talents, encouraging artistic exploration, strengthening professional networks, promoting cultural exchange, and fostering local community engagement.

The cast includes Naeem Salehi, Ali Rahimi, Mohammad Ali Ebrahimi, Alireza Ahmadi, and Behnam Aram.

Tell the Wind Too has already received the Best International Experimental Feature Award at the 2025 Portoviejo Film Festival in Ecuador. Naeem Salehi also won the “Most Popular Asian Actor” award at the 2025 Cambodia Asian Film Festival for his performance in the film.

Khani’s film was previously nominated for Best International Feature at the 2025 Regina International Film Festival and for Best Thriller/Drama at the 2025 Nollywood Toronto International Film Festival.

Tell the Wind Too follows a rural man named Shahryar, who embarks on a brief yet introspective journey of self-discovery after his father’s death. Setting out with his donkey in search of a special place, he finds moments of reflection and tranquility amid the forest’s mysterious beauty. Along the way, people warn him of an impending danger, but Shahryar eventually realizes that he must continue his path alone, guided only by nature.

The film has also been screened at venues such as the Institute for Contemporary Art in Richmond, USA.
