Diplomats Gather at Cinema Museum to Watch “Where Is the Friend’s House?”

In a special cultural event, diplomats residing in Tehran attended a screening of Abbas Kiarostami’s iconic film “Where Is the Friend’s House?” at the Cinema Museum of Iran.

The event marked the first gathering of “Ambassador and Cinema”, organized in collaboration with the Public Diplomacy Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cinema Organization of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the National Film Archive of Iran, and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

After touring various sections of the museum, the ambassadors and diplomats viewed Kiarostami’s timeless film.

During the event, Esmaeil Baghai, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Raed Faridzadeh, head of the Cinema Organization, delivered brief remarks highlighting the importance and global significance of Iranian cinema today.
