Iranian cinema continues to gain international recognition as "Guardian of the Field," directed by Mohammadreza Khordmandan and produced by Mehdi Faraji, earned two prestigious awards at the 31st Minsk International Film Festival (Listapad) in Belarus.
The festival jury awarded the film a diploma of honor “for deep immersion into the world of crises and the discoveries of contemporary social life.” Additionally, Morteza Ghafouri received the Yuri Marukhin Award for Best Cinematography for his work on Guardian of the Field.
The Minsk International Film Festival, one of Eastern Europe’s most respected cinematic events, took place this year from October 31 to November 7, focusing on showcasing landmark and trend-setting works from contemporary world cinema.
