Iranian Film "Without Permission" Enters Main Competition at Rabat International Festival

Iranian-British film “Without Permission” by Hassan Nazer joins the main competition at the 30th Rabat International Auteur Film Festival.

The Iranian-British co-production “Without Permission”, directed by Hassan Nazer, has been selected for the main competition at the 30th Rabat International Auteur Film Festival in Morocco. The film previously competed in the official section of the Busan International Film Festival.

Behrouz Sebt Rasoul, formerly known as a director, takes on the lead acting role, while Ali Mohammad Ghasemi serves as the film’s cinematographer.

Without Permission offers a poetic and reflective story about an Iranian filmmaker returning to his homeland. Seeking a new language to express his thoughts and concerns, he collaborates with children, resulting in a personal, human journey that emphasizes imagination and self-expression among the younger generation.

The film’s international distribution is handled by the French company DreamLab Films, led by Nasrin Mirshab.

The 30th Rabat International Auteur Film Festival will take place from November 7 to 15, 2025, featuring a variety of international films. Among them, the animated series “Camel and the Miller” by Abdollah Alimorad will be showcased in the festival’s children’s section.
