The feature film “In the Shadow”, directed by Salem Salavati, will make its world premiere in the Cinematography Debut Competition at the 33rd EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival in Poland.
Unveiled with its official poster, the film is one of only seven international titles selected for this competitive section, which spotlights emerging cinematographers presenting their first or second feature films. Camerimage, founded in 1993, is one of the world’s leading festivals dedicated to the art and craft of cinematography.
The festival runs from 15 to 22 November 2025 in Toruń, Poland. Director Salem Salavati and cinematographer Amir Ali Veisi will attend the event.
In the Shadow is Salavati’s latest work and a 2025 co-production between Iran, Sweden, and the Kurdistan Region.
