Iranian short film “She Is Not Here”, written and directed by Saeed Siry, has been honored with the Best Short Film Directing Award at the 15th Page International Film Festival (PIFF), held in Ísafjörður, Iceland, from October 9 to 12, 2025.
The 14-minute film stars Sara Miley and Alireza Gilvari and tells the story of Kiana, a nine-year-old girl who suffers a traumatic event and discovers that her sketchbook possesses magical powers capable of altering her surroundings.
Following its previous win as Best Film at Canada’s Hecare International Film Festival, this new accolade highlights Siry’s sensitive storytelling and the film’s continued international impact. PIFF welcomed films from around the world, emphasizing cultural diversity and innovative cinematic expression.
