“Paper Flowers” Heads to Spain

The short animation Paper Flowers, directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi, has been selected for the competition section of the 37th Girona Film Festival in Spain.

According to the Cinema Museum News Center, Paper Flowers, directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi, will compete in the official selection of the 37th edition of the Girona Film Festival in Spain.

The festival showcases a wide range of works across several categories, including short and feature films, documentaries, children’s and youth films, animations, music videos, and other audiovisual creations.

Paper Flowers tells the story of the inner transformation of a successful female writer whose latest work has failed. Seeking to overcome this setback, she leaves her home and family, retreating to an abandoned mansion to write her next piece in solitude.

The Girona Film Festival will be held from November 3 to 7, 2025, in the city of Girona, Spain. Paper Flowers was produced by the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Cinema, and has previously won the Best Short Animation Award at the Kazan International Festival.
