Shahram Mokri Wins Asian Vision Award at Busan Film Festival

The 30th Busan International Film Festival announced its Vision section winners, with Black Rabbit, White Rabbit by Shahram Mokri receiving the prestigious Asian Vision Award, presented in collaboration with the India Film Festival.

Marking its world premiere in Busan’s competitive Vision category, the film also heads to the 69th BFI London Film Festival, where it will compete alongside nine other international titles.

Shot in Tajikistan with a cast from Iran and Tajikistan, the trilingual film (Persian, Tajik, and Russian) tells the story of a woman who, after an accident, discovers that the reality around her has shifted into a mysterious and unconventional dimension.

The film stars Babak Karimi, Hasti Mahmaei, Kubriya Diloboua, and Bijan Davlyatov, alongside an extensive ensemble cast. Black Rabbit, White Rabbit is produced as a Tajikistan–UAE co-production, with international distribution handled by DreamLab Films, led by Nasrin Mirshab.
