The feature animation Juliet and the King, directed by Ashkan Rahgozar and produced by Hoorakhsh Studio, has won its first international prize at the Palm Springs International Animation Festival. The film received the Streamtacular Award, honoring works that have attracted high online engagement and impact in new media.
Juliet and the King offers a poetic, fantastical retelling of the historical relationship between Naser al-Din Shah Qajar and the French actress Juliet.
Commenting on the award, Rahgozar said:
