On the occasion of National Cinema Day (September 11, 2025), Fatemeh Mohammadi, Director of the Cinema Museum of Iran, congratulated the cultural, artistic, and Iranian cinema community.
In her message, Mohammadi emphasized that Iranian cinema today is recognized worldwide as one of the most authentic and influential movements, introducing the culture, ideas, and lives of Iranians to global audiences and shining at the most prestigious international festivals. She stressed that this position owes much to artists who, with creativity and commitment to truth, have brought enduring stories to the silver screen.
She described cinema artists as cultural assets of the nation, whose recognition is, in fact, a tribute to the shared memories, thoughts, and identity of the people. From pioneering generations to today’s filmmakers, all have contributed to this remarkable heritage, she noted, and continuing the path requires respect and support for them.
Highlighting the role of the Cinema Museum of Iran as the “living memory of this art,” Mohammadi said the museum seeks not only to preserve cinema’s legacy but also to serve as a space for dialogue, reflection, and gathering of filmmakers and enthusiasts.
“Cinema is the mirror of our lives, reflecting our joys, pains, hopes, and collective dreams,” Mohammadi concluded. “I hope that with unity and collaboration, Iranian cinema will continue to flourish and create bright and lasting moments for the people of this land. Happy National Cinema Day.”
