Three days with Sergei Parajanov: From "The Color of Pomegranates" to "The Legend of Suram Fortress"

The Iranian Cinema Museum will host a special program featuring the works of acclaimed filmmaker Sergei Parajanov on September 6–8, 2025, with the presence of Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Culture of Armenia. 

The series opens on Sunday, Sept 6, with “The Color of Pomegranates”, one of Parajanov’s most influential films, followed by a discussion with cinema researcher Robert Safarian. 

On Monday. September 7, “The Stranger’s Love” will be screened, with a post-film analysis by a renowned critic, Ramtin Shahbazi.

The program concludes on Tuesday, September 8, with “The Legends of the Suram Fortress” and a closing discussion led by filmmaker Anahid Abad

All screenings will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the museum’s Ferdows Hall.
