The screening will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 5 August 2025, in Ferdows Hall at the Cinema Museum of Iran. The two works, each titled Arbaeen, were filmed roughly 50 years apart in the southern port city of Bushehr, offering a rare perspective on how this Shi’a religious observance has evolved over time.
The event will be attended by Farhad Varahram, director of Arbaeen 2, and veteran documentary filmmaker and critic Mohammad Jafari, who will participate in a post-screening discussion.
Admission is free and open to the public.
